The Monkey's Paw

Month of Fear weekly challenge: Favorite Horror Story

Mine is "The Monkey's Paw" - really made me think hard about what and how I would wish on my eyelashes and birthday candles.

Here is a "before" and "after" of my Monkey process. I was inspired by an artist on DeviantArt from long ago - did a really kickin' Dracula portrait with unnatural colors in the shadows and mid-tones. Check it out:

Happy Almost-Halloween

Month of Fear weekly challenges so far:

Recurring Nightmare - Being Plunged into an Unknown Abyss
Just for fun - Bloody Delicious Milkshake

Babies Everywhere!

Here's a bit of what I'm working on now - baby portraits in pencil and then I'll be doing one in oil soon. I have to find a way to make the top one less... creepy...?

Sarasvati Painting for Golden Goose

I may have already posted some of these, but here they are now from start to finish :) A couple detail shots as well...

Different Kind of Dragon

This is a dragon I drew and colored with colored pencil for a friend's grandbaby! It was drawn to go with the set of dragon quilts and things she had made for the baby.

Dragonboat Festival Painting

Okay so I didn't take the "final" picture but this is a little bit of the painting I did for the Dragonboat Festival here in VT. It was auctioned off for a good cause :) Maybe you can't see if from the little pictures but it's a dragon in water with golden oars along its body. Really fun to paint!

I love brown bats! I miss little Benny who would fly around my neighborhood - I hope he's doing well (vVv)

Smirkus Coloring Book

Thumbnails for the Circus Smirkus Coloring Book - super excited!

Map for Jingle Bell Express

Local charity event happening soon and I've been designing the logo, booklet, map, and tickets.

Happy Dragon is Happy

Wicked happy dragon!
approx 45 minutes

Pine Nuts

This here is supposed to be Chris Pine - ehhhh not quite, but it was really fun to paint like this.

Dream Tiger REVAMPED

Done as a Digital Illustration project - to revamp an old painting.
Super fun!

Pepe the King Prawn

"I am a King Prawn, okay?"
This one was done for my friend Liza - she loves the Muppets :)

Toy Doll

They're coming to an agreement...I just don't know what it is :)

Sketches from Work

Okay so they're mostly SPN sketches but I also have an old George Lucas caricature from years ago, some Good Omens, and a Jack Frost.

These were some signs I made up for the caricature gigs I did this summer :) LOTS of motorcycle rallies...
